Assistant Property Manager - RM-569/549A

AWI Management Corp. is seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to assist in managing a 107-unit Senior apartment community and a 72-unit apartment community in Chico, CA. Experience in affordable housing (LIHTC) is preferred.

The position is part-time, at 40 hours a week.

Starting pay: $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

No housing available with this position.

Requirements
  • Valid CA Driver's License
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Authorized to work in the United States
Qualifications / Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various audience levels
  • Competency in MS Office and relevant databases and software
  • Highly proficient in math
  • Well organized with excellent time management skills
  • Maintain positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and staff
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Manage emergency situations effectively
  • Meet strict deadlines

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing all aspects of assigned properties
  • Process applicant paperwork, conduct screenings, obtain landlord references, ensure signatures on leases and house rules, handle re-certifications, and coordinate move-ins and move-outs
  • Collect rents and security deposits
  • Enforce lease agreements and house rules
  • Inspect properties and coordinate maintenance to meet standards
  • Maintain excellent curb appeal
  • Advertise and market vacant units to attract tenants
  • Follow company policies and procedures
