Job description

Assistant Property Manager – Manhattan Portfolio

Luxury real estate owner/operator is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to work alongside a Senior Portfolio Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of luxury condo properties in Manhattan.

Candidates should have at least 2 years’ experience as an APM or Property Assistant, working on condo or co-op properties.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work alongside the Senior Portfolio Manager to oversee day-to-day property operations
  2. Maintain resident and owner relations, ensuring all needs are met and complaints are handled in a timely manner
  3. Assist Senior Portfolio Manager with compliance deadlines, reporting, and ad hoc projects
  4. Prepare board of directors/managers monthly meeting packages and annual meeting paperwork
  5. Handle chargebacks on invoices paid by shareholders/unit owners/tenants
  6. Maintain meeting minutes and building files
  7. Assist in managing projects such as capital improvements and repairs
  8. Manage accounts payable and receivable, tenant files, and review tenant accounts for arrears
  9. Prepare and distribute memos and notices to residents and owners
  10. Act as a liaison with vendors, contractors, and the DOB
  11. Ensure building compliance, remove violations, and maintain code adherence
  12. Assist owners and residents with board packages for submission to the board
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 2 years of experience with residential properties
  2. Strong written and communication skills
  3. Background in property management
  4. Yardi experience a plus

Compensation: $65,000 – 75,000 plus bonus, additional compensation for board meeting attendance, health benefits, and other perks.

The salary range is an estimate and may include benefits, equity, and incentives.
