Job summary

Sinatra and Co. in Hamburg, NY is seeking an Assistant Property Manager/Leasing Professional to manage the leasing cycle from inquiry to move-in and beyond.

You will tour, qualify, and follow up with prospects using our CRM while coordinating with residents and teams to meet occupancy targets. The role requires strong customer service and sales skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous multifamily leasing or property management experience.
  • 3+ years of leasing experience in a garden-style apartment community preferred.
  • Strong customer service and sales skills.
  • Professional communicator with prospects, residents, vendors and coworkers.
  • Good written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities; comfortable with CRM systems and property management software (Yardi preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Handle the leasing process from initial inquiry through application, lease signing, and move-in.
  • Meet with prospective residents and conduct apartment and property tours.
  • Follow up with prospects through our CRM and maintain required follow-up activity.
  • Process applications, leases, and other required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Monitor apartment availability and ensure unit information is accurate.
  • Help meet occupancy and leasing goals for the property.
  • Walk available apartments before showings and move-ins to ensure readiness.
  • Assist current residents with questions, service requests, and other needs.
  • Submit and follow up on work orders for occupied and vacant apartments as needed.
  • Assist with renewal notices and resident follow-up.
  • Walk the property regularly and help identify maintenance or curb appeal issues.
  • Keep the leasing office, model units, and customer-facing areas clean and ready.
  • Assist with resident events, outreach marketing, and other leasing initiatives.
  • Maintain updated market surveys and knowledge of competing properties.
  • Monitor marketing materials and communicate needs to the marketing team.
  • Look for opportunities to request reviews after positive interactions.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing requirements.
  • Complete required Aspire training.
  • Assist the Property Manager with additional property-related responsibilities as needed.
