Job description

Are you a customer service superstar looking for your next challenge? We’re searching for an Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our beautiful apartment community in Tacoma, WA. You don’t need property management experience—we’re happy to train the right person. If you’re organized, people-focused, and ready to learn, we want to hear from you.

Who We Are

At Targa Real Estate Services, we manage communities—not just buildings. With more than 150 multifamily properties across the Pacific Northwest, we pride ourselves on integrity, efficiency, and heart. Our Property Managers are leaders, problem solvers, and stewards of both people and property.

We're not here for micromanaging or red tape. We're here to support your success, back your decisions, and let you lead.

Who You Are

You’re the glue. The type of person who anticipates needs, thrives under pressure, and makes chaos look easy. You love people—even the tough ones—and can juggle paperwork, phone calls, and a last-minute resident walk-in without missing a beat.

You might be coming from a job in retail, dental front office, beauty services, or hospitality. That’s perfect. We can teach you the systems. What we need is your attitude, hustle, and heart.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the go-to support for the Property Manager—organize, follow up, and help keep things running smoothly
  • Assist current and prospective residents with questions, service requests, and lease needs
  • Track rent payments, deposits, and fees; follow up on late accounts with tact and clarity
  • Coordinate unit turns, inspections, and move-in/move-out paperwork
  • Keep accurate records, maintain digital files, and update our systems daily
  • Help manage leasing activity and retention efforts with empathy and attention
  • Pitch in on marketing and community outreach—we want your ideas
  • Jump in wherever needed: answering calls, scheduling tours, helping maintenance, or assisting with vendor visits

What You’ll Bring

  • 1–2 years of customer service experience (property management a plus, not a must)
  • Friendly and professional communication style
  • Strong organization and follow-through—you love a good checklist
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office and/or basic computer systems
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (may need to run errands or support nearby sites)
  • Ability to work weekends or flex schedule when needed

What You’ll Get

  • A work family that supports your growth
  • Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match
  • Fun quarterly teambuilding/company events, employee engagement incentives. etc
  • 2 weeks of PTO, 10 paid holidays (including your birthday/floating holiday) and wellness time
  • Real opportunities to grow into Property Management
  • Leadership that values your input and effort
  • A job that keeps you moving and challenged—never boring

Targa’s Promise

If you’re ready to bring your personality, people skills, and love of organization to a place that actually appreciates them, we’d love to meet you.

Apply now and let’s build something great—together.
