Job description

The Assistant Property Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the overall management and operations of residential or commercial properties. This position involves assisting the Property Manager in daily activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining positive relationships with tenants. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of property management practices, and the ability to handle various administrative tasks effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Property Manager in the day-to-day operations of the property, including tenant relations and maintenance coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other relevant laws, including Section 8 and LIHTC guidelines.
  • Manage tenant inquiries and concerns, employing effective conflict management strategies to resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records through data entry and documentation of tenant interactions, maintenance requests, and lease agreements.
  • Utilize property management software for tracking tenant information, payments, and lease renewals.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure facilities are well-maintained and meet safety standards.
  • Support marketing efforts to attract new tenants through various channels.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of real estate administrative processes and property management best practices.
  • Familiarity with laws related to property management, including Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 requirements.
  • Experience in facilities management is preferred but not required.
  • Strong conflict management skills to effectively address tenant issues.
  • Proficient in data entry with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with tenants and vendors.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
