Assistant Property Manager For Apartment Community in Hadley, MA

Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring efficient and effective operation of the assigned properties in compliance with the policies and procedures of the Company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Employee’s duties shall be accomplished in consultation with his/her supervisor, and in some cases may require supervisor approval. Duties and responsibilities may be shared with other employees, and may include but are not limited to:

Limited/indirect recruiting and hiring of certain employees at the assigned properties

  • Limited/indirect supervision of certain on-site employees at the assigned properties
  • Ensuring appropriate employee coverage at the assigned properties
  • Regular property inspections including limited evaluation of employee and vendor work
  • Adherence to property financial guidelines and budgets
  • Maintaining appropriate service contracts and suppliers for the property
  • Providing regular reporting on the performance at the property
  • Reviewing and processing of invoices at the property
  • Operating the assigned properties in accordance with state, federal and local laws
  • Operating the assigned properties in a manner that is consistent with Company policy
  • Operating the assigned properties in accordance with industry standards and best practices
  • Maintaining regulatory compliance and preparing for compliance inspections
  • Maintaining the property in a condition that is clean, safe, and professional
  • Positioning the property to effectively attract and retain residents
  • Maintaining professional communication with co-workers, vendors, and residents
  • Administration of resident leases, including rent collection, renewals, and evictions
  • Maintaining files and documentation in conformance with Company policy
  • Coordinating and responding to emergencies or incidents at the property
  • Any other duties consistent with efficient and effective property operations
  • Seeking opportunities for improvement and professional development
