Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our residential properties. This role is essential in ensuring tenant satisfaction and maintaining property standards.

Responsibilities
  • Greet clients, assess needs, answer questions, and provide tours of the apartments and community while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Respond to in-person, phone, and email inquiries, including providing leasing information and making appointments.
  • Assist with developing and tracking marketing strategies, including advertising, promotions, and publications.
  • Shop competition regularly and stay informed about their pricing, policies, lease terms, etc.
  • Review and inspect vacancies, make-ready apartments, and models.
  • Manage all aspects of the leasing process, including leasing apartments, preparing lease paperwork, and ensuring a smooth move-in.
  • Implement lease renewal and resident retention programs.
  • Inspect the property for community policy violations, needed repairs, and overall landscaping.
  • Assist with accepting move-out notices, maintenance service requests, and resident transfers.
  • Manage rent collections, late notices, and posting rent.
  • Handle resident relations issues, including taking resident phone calls, requests, and concerns.
  • Assist with completing weekly, monthly, and special reports as assigned by the Property Manager.
Experience
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of related leasing or property management experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely and organized manner.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
