ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER - BROOKFIELD, WI

Job Summary

The Assistant Property Manager assists in managing assigned properties to maximize financial returns and ensure residents enjoy a clean, safe, and well-maintained community.

Principal Duties
  1. Marketing & Leasing
  2. Assist in marketing and advertising efforts, monitor effectiveness
  3. Conduct apartment showings per policies and Fair Housing laws
  4. Prepare apartment models and vacancies for showings and move-ins
  5. Communicate property features to prospects
  6. Process applications and lease paperwork
  7. Coordinate lease signing, rent collection, and delinquency management
  8. Prepare weekly and monthly reports
  9. Administrative tasks including answering phones, scheduling, and resident relations
  10. Distribute notices, monitor renewals, and maintain financial records
  11. Adhere to accounting policies, make daily bank deposits
  12. Maintain vendor relationships
  13. Represent the company professionally
  14. Maintain knowledge of software, fair housing laws, and Section 8 & 42 policies if applicable
  15. Perform other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of leasing/property management experience, with lease-up success preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
  • Knowledge of compliance, fair housing laws, and Section 8 & 42 policies preferred
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, current insurance
  • Strong communication, human relations, and PC skills; Yardi experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Work hours are 8:00-4:30 or 8:30-5:00, 40 hours/week.
