Job summary

Career Strategies is seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager with Affordable Housing experience to join one of our premier property management clients in the Minneapolis metro area. This Full-Time role is based in Minneapolis, MN, offering $25.00 - $28.00 per hour and weekly pay.

The ideal candidate will handle daily operations, compliance, leasing, and resident services for LIHTC/HUD/Section 8 programs.

Qualifications

• Previous Assistant Property Manager experience required
• Affordable Housing experience (LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, or similar programs)
• Knowledge of compliance requirements and recertification processes
• Experience with property management software preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the Property Manager with the daily operations of an affordable housing community
• Process applications, certifications, recertifications, and annual renewals
• Ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, and other affordable housing programs
• Maintain accurate resident files and compliance documentation
• Collect rent, post payments, and assist with delinquency follow-up
• Coordinate resident move-ins and move-outs
• Respond to resident questions and provide exceptional customer service
• Assist with leasing activities, tours, and occupancy goals
• Work closely with maintenance staff to ensure service requests are completed promptly
• Support inspections, audits, and compliance reviews
