SupportWorks Housing in Portsmouth, VA seeks an Assistant Property Manager to oversee resident services, rent processing, budget tasks and program implementation. You will partner with the Senior Property Manager to coordinate admissions, collections, and file maintenance, ensuring high-quality operations.

Strong communication, team leadership, and customer-service orientation are essential as you support residents facing housing barriers with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of residential property management experience.
• Experience with Section Eight and Low Income Housing Tax Credits preferred.
• Knowledge of federal/state housing laws preferred.
• Valid VA Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Manage public inquiries, tours, volunteer activities, development planning, and program implementation.
• Assist with rent collection, processing new applicants, legal proceedings, and budget maintenance.
• Coordinate rent increase data with market comparables and maintain property management files.
• Assist in unit inspections and preparation for audits by government entities and funders.
