Atrium Management Company is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support resident relations and community leasing at our properties. You will work under the Property Manager, emphasizing teamwork and customer service to maximize occupancy and retention.

Responsibilities include leasing, tours, application processing, and coordinating move-ins/outs while using software such as Appfolio or Yardi. Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong asset for resident communication.

Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service or sales within real estate or property management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with property management software (Appfolio, Yardi, Knock) a plus; bilingual in English/Spanish is a strong asset.
  • High school diploma required; CAM or ARM certification is a plus and may be preferred by leadership.

  • Serve as a point of contact for residents and support Property Manager in daily operations.
  • Greet residents, tour communities, and close leases by presenting amenities, pricing and lease terms.
  • Process lease applications, run credit checks, and track leads for occupancy goals.
  • Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, renewals, and maintenance of occupancy targets.
  • Assist with leasing reports and marketing plans to generate prospect traffic.

About the Role

An Atrium Assistant Property Manager will serve as a point of contact for current residents at their community, and help to drive Atrium's growth in the area. The Assistant Property Manager reports directly to the Property Manager, and is expected to make teamwork and customer service their top priority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Have complete knowledge of the apartment community and competition in the area
  • Maintain daily traffic logs, phone logs, and follow-up
  • Greet customers and tour apartment community while listening to and focusing on customer's preferences
  • Demonstrate amenities, apartment homes, pricing, and close leases
  • Process incoming lease applications, run credit verifications, track all prospective tenants, and follow up on all leads
  • Maintain an acceptable closing ratio as directed by Property Manager
  • Prepare lease documentation and conduct lease signings
  • Coordinate all move-ins, move-outs, transfers and lease renewals to achieve maximum occupancy and resident retention
  • Minimize vacancy loss by securing leases within 5 business days of move-out
  • Generate prospect traffic through marketing efforts: community outreach, resident referrals, and property tours
  • Shop the competition and assist with preparation of leasing reports and sales and marketing plans
  • Assist Property Manager in achieving net operating income and occupancy goals
  • Act in accordance with all fair housing laws

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (College education, CAM or ARM certification)
  • Minimum 6 months experience in leasing, or as an Assistant Property Manager (preferred)
  • Reliable transportation and valid Driver License
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: Customer service or sales background, especially within the real estate industry.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills. Attention to detail. Adaptable and dependable. Resourceful. Self-disciplined and goal-driven.
  • Hard Skills: Experience with property mgmt software (ex Appfolio, Yardi, Knock, etc). Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, Email, Gmail/Google Workspace, and social media as it pertains to marketing of community. A Real Estate License is nice to have, and bi-lingual (conversational English and Spanish) is a big plus!
  • Mindset: Strong work ethic, a positive and energetic attitude, and passion for working with people! Desire to work as a team with ability to work independently on occasion.
