Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Property Manager to support our team in overseeing the daily operations of residential properties. This role is essential in ensuring tenant & landlord satisfaction, smooth leasing processes, and overall property performance. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This is primarily an in-office role, with occasional field support as needed.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Respond promptly to tenant and landlord inquiries, concerns, and complaints to ensure strong relationships, high satisfaction, and retention.
- Follow up with prospective tenant leads and maintain consistent communication throughout the leasing and application process.
- Answer phones, manage email correspondence, and handle general administrative tasks to support daily operations and effective communication with all parties.
- Assist the Property Manager in preparing lease agreements, renewals, and terminations.
- Support application processing, including conducting credit and background checks, and verifying references.
- Help ensure new properties are accurately entered and properly set up in our property management software.
- Help with the logistics of tenant transitions, including key handoffs, utility setup, HOA communication, and payment follow-ups.
- Assist with office key inventory and management.
- Assist with property tours or inspections as needed.
- Support the maintenance team as needed by helping schedule vendor appointments, confirming details, and following up on outstanding work orders.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in property management, leasing, or real estate administration preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and property management software (AppFolio a plus).
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or 3+ years of experience in customer service, property management or a related field.

The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls when out in the field. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Travel Requirements: 25%-50% of travel required in a 50-100-mile radius around assigned area.
