Our Company is seeking: An experienced and highly motivated Assistant Property Manager for our Affordable Community, The Residences at Arbor Oaks, of 192 units in Houston, TX.

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description Summary: The Assistant Property Manager assists the Property Manager in the overall operation of the property, implementing policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a well-managed, well-maintained building. The role requires maturity, good judgment, and knowledge of all aspects of property management, especially LIHTC and Affordable Housing operations with success in turnaround or renovated properties.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephones, provide leasing information, schedule tours, take maintenance requests, assist residents, etc.
  • Work closely with the Property Manager on administrative and financial duties.
  • Handle resident service requests and concerns.
  • Manage rent collection and notices.
  • Inspect the property daily, including vacant apartments.
  • Assist in creating monthly reports, including renewals, rents, leasing, traffic, and resident retention programs, ensuring HUD/LIHTC compliance.
  • Perform administrative duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree preferred but not required.
  • One year of LIHTC/Affordable housing experience required.
  • Proficient in internet software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with industry software like Bluemoon, Yieldstart preferred.
  • Onsite experience with Yardi (CRM, Voyager, P2P) required.
