We are seeking a dependable and focused Assistant Property Manager to help with the daily operations of our portfolio of residential communities. This position supports the Property Managers in ensuring a well-maintained, fully leased, and financially sound portfolio of properties while delivering exceptional service to current and prospective residents.
Duties
Resident Relations
·Serve as a key point of contact for resident questions, maintenance requests, and concerns
·Assist with resident retention initiatives, community events, and satisfaction surveys
Leasing Support
·Process rental applications, background checks, lease agreements, and renewals
·Ensure vacant units are “rent-ready” through coordination with maintenance, cleaning & leasing teams
·Assist with rent collection, posting payments, and enforcing late fee policies
·Follow up on delinquent accounts and initiate appropriate notices
·Help track income and expenses and support the preparation of monthly reports
Maintenance Coordination
·Submit and track maintenance work orders through the property management system
·Schedule vendor services and inspections as needed
·Conduct regular property walks to identify and report issues
Administrative Duties
·Maintain accurate resident records and lease documentation
·Support compliance with fair housing laws and property regulations
·Help with filing, correspondence, and office supply management
Qualifications:
·High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
·1–2 years of residential property management or customer service experience
·Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
·Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Entrata, Yardi, AppFolio) preferred
·Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Working Conditions:
·We manage our portfolio of all residential properties from our corporate office in Uptown Dallas.
·Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation to do site visits when necessary.
