Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Superintendent for a design-build highway project north of the Tampa Bay area. This is an onsite, full-time role supporting the Project Superintendent by managing subs, foremen and crews, with a focus on FDOT work.

Based in Tampa Bay or Central Florida, you will travel to project areas, maintain field logs and safety, and assist planning and production to keep work on schedule and to quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in heavy civil highway construction.
• Experience with FDOT contracts, specs and reporting.
• Current level: Assistant Superintendent / General Foreman / Senior Foreman.
• OSHA 10 is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Based in Tampa Bay or Central Florida, or ready to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Run subcontractors, foremen and crews day to day.
• Back up the Project Superintendent on planning and production.
• Keep daily reports, logs and field documentation current.
• Handle quality control in the field.
• Sit in meetings with the owner and FDOT inspectors.
• Coordinate equipment, material and deliveries.
• Own jobsite safety and toolbox talks.
• Track quantities and daily production.
• Travel between work areas on the project as needed.
