Mortenson is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for Structured Cabling. The role partners with the Project Manager from bid preparation through client acceptance and requires 100% travel on a rotational basis across the U.S. You will lead, coach, and mentor project team members with strong communication and integrity.
Responsibilities include cost control, coordinating scopes, reviewing payment docs, and subcontract management. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience are expected.
Assistant Project Manager – Structured Cabling
Summary
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager-Structured Cabling to partner with the Project Manager from bid preparation through final client acceptance. You will also lead, coach, and mentor project team members. Strong communication skills are necessary as you will interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment. Your ability to remain flexible, inventive, dedicated, and efficient with a high level of integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success in this role.
Location: TBD – location and project will be assigned. This role will require 100% travel on a rotational basis (on average it could be 3-4 weeks on a project site / about 1 week at home. This schedule is an estimate as it is also based on project need)
Responsibilities
Organization, flexibility, excellent customer focus, and strong communication are critical in performing duties which may include:
Perform cost control and financial management
Partner with the Project Manager or Construction Executive
Provide direction to the project team for safe and timely project completion
Lead subcontractors and suppliers for the project

A few benefits offered include:
The base compensation range for this role is: $102,000 - $137,700 (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skill and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
