The Project Manager Assistant supports the Project Manager in the coordination andexecution of underground utility locating and subsurface investigation projects. Responsibilities includecoordinating public agency permits, 811/DigAlert assignments, field delineation activities, traffic controlrequirements, and scheduling field inspections with city, county, and other public agencyrepresentatives.
The Assistant is also responsible for supporting project documentation and administrativerequirements, including Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)documentation, Site‑Specific Safety Plans (SSSP), permits, field reports, project schedules, and clientcommunications. The position serves as a key liaison between the Project Manager, field crews, clients,inspectors, engineers, and public agencies to help ensure projects are properly coordinated,documented, and completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for making sure the project is ready for the field, the field crew has what they need, public agency requirements are satisfied, documentation is complete, and the Project Manager and client are kept informed.
