Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in New York City is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for the NYC Parks program. The ideal candidate will manage project documentation, coordinate field office staff, and liaise with clients. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3-5 years of experience in large-scale construction programs are required. Pay Range

$88,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr

Essential Functions
  • Act as primary contact for project field office and liaison with NYC Parks client under the Senior Project Manager.
  • Maintain and perform all project document control and reporting as required.
  • Daily management and coordination of field office staff.
  • Provide field inspection support as needed during peak seasons.
  • Assist in marketing efforts for the NYC Parks Program and other functions directed by the Vice President.
  • Perform all other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of related experience in supporting large‑scale construction programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Expedition, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Reliable transportation required.
Physical Requirements

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is frequently required to assume a stationary position, handle, inspect, and/or feel documents, materials and equipment relevant to the job and communicate via corporate e‑mail and telephone systems. The employee may also need to move around on the job site, including ascending or descending on the landscape or on a ladder, and positioning themselves appropriately to access necessary testing materials and equipment. The employee may be required to lift and/or move equipment and materials up to 25 lb. The position may require operating a motor vehicle. Pay Range

Pay Range: $88,000 - $125,000 per year.
