Veit is seeking an Assistant Project Manager/Estimator to support the Project Manager from bid through project completion. You will review plans, gather quantities, prepare estimates, and coordinate with subcontractors while maintaining schedules and budgets.
This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or 3–5 years of related experience, strong communication, and proficiency in estimating tools. Extensive travel (80–100%) to sites is required.
The Assistant Project Manager/Estimator’s primary duty is to assist the Project Manager/Estimator in managing contract work from start to finish, including scheduling, cost containment, monitoring progress, ensuring compliance, and maintaining client contact, which may involve working on job sites for the duration of the project. Review plans and specifications, gather quantities, and work with the Project Manager to execute the final bid proposal.
This is a Safety Sensitive Role. Must be able to pass all pre-employment drug tests and background checks. Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR). Requires 8 to 10-hour workdays, Monday – Friday. Travel requirement is 80-100% to job sites throughout the United States. The base compensation range for this role is $86,000 - $112,500. The hourly rate may vary depending on geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience.
