Job summary

Pogue Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Texas. This hands-on construction role supports project engineers, coordinates field activities, and helps deliver complex, fast-paced projects with emphasis on safety and quality.

You will report directly to the SPM/PM, process RFIs and submittals, assist with closeout, and help manage subcontract pricing and owner billings for diverse commercial and data center projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Construction Science preferred.
• 2-4 years in construction field serving onsite as Project Engineer or in similar APM role.
• Experience with data center, mission-critical, industrial, healthcare, or large commercial construction projects.
• Exposure to MEP systems coordination and installation.
• Experience utilizing Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar construction management software.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent field experience.

• Coordinate with major trades and review subcontractors pay applications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Report directly to SPM/PM for your project
• Process RFIs and Submittals
• Assist with close out process
• Compile and submit subcontractor pricing (after review by SPM/PM)
• Lead Owner/Architect/Consultant meetings
• Lead coordination and final coordination meeting on storm shelters if required
• Complete coordination with major trades
• Review subcontractors pay applications
• Assemble owner billings
• Assist with buying out subcontracts
• Assist with putting together subcontract documents
• Attend and help estimating during bid days
• Base knowledge of project financials
• Knowledge of construction sequencing
• Other tasks as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor of Construction Science preferred
• 2-4 years in construction field serving onsite as Project Engineer or in similar APM role

• Experience with data center, mission-critical, industrial, healthcare, or large commercial construction projects.
• Exposure to MEP systems coordination and installation.
• Experience utilizing Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar construction management software.
