A leading construction company in Michigan is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to oversee projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong organizational and communication skills, manage project budgets and schedules effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-risk environment. This position combines office-based coordination with on-site responsibilities, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are adhered to.
We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager who will be responsible for helping oversee all phases of the construction project from start to finish while ensuring the project stays on time and within budget. This role works closely with a variety of individuals to schedule and plan work, coordinate equipment and materials, operate within budget, and monitor overall progress. This role will spend time in an office setting while also on site ensuring the project is running smoothly.
This is a people-centered role in a fast paced, high risk work environment. Therefore, this position requires a person who gravitates towards problem solving through personal interaction, is highly professional, a gifted communicator, and problem solver.
Potential candidates should also have an ability to effectively prioritize and manage project load. This position requires a candidate who is highly effective at problem solving in both team and individual settings. The ideal candidate for this position must be able to manage work time effectively, proficiently navigate office-based software (Excel, Outlook, Word, PPT, etc.), and have experience working in the construction industry, specifically in a project manager role. The right person for this role will be passionate about managing a construction project while continuing to develop personally, organized, and has a high level of personal accountability.
