Cleveland Electric Company is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support project activities in a dynamic environment. The candidate will assist project managers and learn essential functions while working closely with teams to ensure successful project execution. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or those starting their careers in project management within a leading specialty contractor.
About Cleveland Electric Company:
Cleveland Electric was built on strong family values, hard work, and constant innovation. What began as an electric motor repair company in 1925 has quickly adapted to meet changing demands in an evolving construction market. Over the years, we have contributed to the growth of Atlanta and the Southeast which has in turn fueled the transformation of our business. Today, we are the leading specialty contractor in the Atlanta market, serving the Southeast for almost 100 years.
Location: Hampton GA
Type: Fully On-site Monday- Friday
Overall: This is a beginning Project Managerial role in the Operations side of Cleveland Electric. This position is typically for newer (to the office) employees that are on a Project Manager path. Interns will usually become APM’s after their probationary period with the company. Employees with more Field experience will usually start their Project Managerial role as an APM or PE (Project Engineer) depending on the circumstances. The APM is a supporting role for projects and will usually report to a PM (Project Manager) or SrPM (Senior Project Manager). The APM will help the project he/she is on by performing as many tasks as possible for the PM or SrPM while learning the PM functions and company policies and procedures. The goal of the APM (and for the company) would be to become a PM1, PM2, then SrPM. Advancement beyond a SrPM is still a potential as a GM (Group Manger) or in other Departmental Lead roles.
