Position Overview:

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) plays a key support role on public-sector construction projects, including K-12 schools, municipal buildings, and other government-funded facilities. Reporting to the Project Manager, the APM helps ensure that projects are executed in full compliance with contract requirements, public agency standards, design documents, and schedule and budget goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain material tracking logs and assist with schedule coordination
• Draft and manage RFIs and submittals in alignment with public project requirements
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and owner reps for timely responses
• Attend and support OAC meetings and generate required documentation
• Assist with cost forecasting, reporting, and change management
• Review plans for constructability and code compliance
• Help manage bid review and subcontractor buyout processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related discipline
• 3+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager on municipal and/or K-12 construction projects
• Proficient in construction management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and similar platforms
