Job summary

Ahern in Menomonie, WI invites a Project Management Intern to gain hands-on experience in estimating, proposal assembly, and project coordination. You will learn our computerized estimating software and participate in all phases of managing work, from requisitions to meetings, under guidance from experienced project managers.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management, with strong MS Word/Excel skills, and a junior-year status.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Construction Management field.
• Candidate should be knowledgeable of MS Word, Excel, and have good computer skills in general.
• Ideal candidate will be entering their junior year of school and be self-motivated, customer service oriented and able to grasp information quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with estimating takeoff and assembling finished proposals.
• Help manage projects and learn how our estimating software works.
• Support the project team from requisitioning materials to project meetings and updates.
• Contribute to accurate, timely estimates and documentation.

How You Will Contribute

The Assistant Project Management Intern will work closely with various Project Managers assisting with estimating takeoff, assembling finished proposals, and managing projects. You can expect to learn how our computerized estimating software works, and how to pull together a finished, accurate estimate. After projects are acquired you will be involved in all phases of managing the work – from requisitioning materials to project meetings and more.

What You Need To Qualify

Ideal candidates should be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Construction Management field. Candidate should be knowledgeable of MS Word, Excel, and have good computer skills in general. Ideal candidate will be entering their junior year of school.
