Job summary

Quanta Government Solutions is seeking an Assistant Project Manager I in Tampa, FL. You will support the Project Manager across engineering, procurement, scheduling, and construction tasks during development and execution phases.

You will assist with safety planning, monthly reviews, financials, and RFI submissions, while ensuring quality and timely deliverables across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or equivalent field.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Understanding of the project design process for projects.
• Understanding of integrated EPC process.
• Understanding of construction means and methods.
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with other team members.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Familiarity with estimating, scheduling, and project management software and processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction activities during the development and execution phase(s) of the project.
• Assist PM in the development of the initial project schedule with engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction management personnel.
• Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Develop subcontractor and vendor scopes of work and schedules exhibits for review by PM before processing.
• Work with Safety personnel on safety-related issues and safety plan development.
• Assist the PM with project schedule and monthly project review reports.
• Support project by conducting financial reviews and closeouts on a monthly basis.
• Assist with RFI submittals utilizing the document management system.
• Provide feedback to improve quality of all deliverables for projects.
• Assist in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages.
• Monitor progress of overall design, procurement, and construction.
• Facilitate project close-out and warranty administration.
• Perform post-construction cost review and lessons learned.
• Take on PM duties when qualified and assigned by PM/Operations Director.
