Job summary

Shapiro & Duncan is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the project management team on HVAC and design-build projects. The role involves professional interaction with owners, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to coordinate start-up, approvals, and project delivery.

You will assist with documentation, scheduling, submittals, procurement, change orders, and closeout, developing a solid foundation in project management while learning from the Project Executive

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems with 1-2 years’ experience in related trades.
• Self-motivated; able to work with minimal guidance to meet time-sensitive goals.
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows operating system.
• Some college coursework or apprenticeship program completion preferred.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills with a positive, service-oriented demeanor.
• Able to work effectively with a diverse set of people.
• Able to read blue prints, drawings and designs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project start-up activities such as preparing for meetings and setting up the project in ACC Build.
• Assist with contract requirements and milestones, including submittals and review.
• Assist with purchase orders and scheduling to meet critical delivery dates.
• Assist with subcontracts, payroll, and insurance coordination.
• Assist with change orders documentation and communication to subs and GC.
• Assist with project closeout tasks including warranty and as-builts.
