Our client is seeking a driven Assistant Project Manager to support the execution of complex, high-end corporate interior projects across the DC Beltway. This role offers hands-on exposure to full-cycle construction management and a path to quickly take on leadership responsibilities.

Description
As an APM, you'll support a Project Manager on 2-3 active corporate interior projects ranging from 20,000 SF and up. These projects typically span 3-12 months and are executed in partnership with top-tier architecture firms. Day-to-day, you'll own critical project administration tasks including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, startup and closeout documentation, material tracking, and Procore management. Over time, you'll be encouraged to take a lead role in meetings and manage dedicated scopes as you demonstrate ownership and dependability.
Key Responsibilities:
Support project start-up through preconstruction documentation and subcontractor coordination
Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs for RFIs, submittals, and material procurement
Draft and distribute meeting minutes and internal progress reports
Assist with drawing and spec reviews and Bluebeam markups
Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress and quality
Collaborate daily with field and office teams to ensure timely execution
Utilize Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, CMiC, and Excel for daily operations
Profile
This role is ideal for someone with 2-4 years of GC experience focused on interior construction who is ready to elevate their skills in a high-visibility, high-expectation environment. Strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to juggle competing priorities are critical to success. A collaborative mindset and a desire to grow within a company that rewards grit, ambition, and curiosity are musts.
Required Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience as a Project Engineer or APM with a commercial GC
Interiors project background strongly preferred
Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Excel, and construction management platforms
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to visit project sites within the DC metro area regularly
Job Offer
Base Salary: Up to $100,000
Bonus: Performance-based bonus up to 10% of salary
