Henderson Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a major heavy civil/highway program in Lakeland, FL. The role supports cost, schedule and subcontract administration, coordinating subs and suppliers to keep the project on budget and on schedule.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years on heavy civil highway or bridge projects and a 4-year degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, with strong writing and communication skills under pressure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years on heavy civil highway or bridge projects as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer or APM.
• Four year degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or Civil Engineering.
• Solid with submittals, RFIs, quantities and pay estimates.
• FDOT or Turnpike experience is a plus.
• Clear writer and communicator under schedule pressure.
• Primavera P6, HCSS or Bluebeam is a plus.
• Based in Central Florida or ready to relocate to the Lakeland area.

Location: Lakeland / Polk County, FL area (full time onsite)

Industry: Heavy Civil / Highway / Bridge / Infrastructure Construction

An established heavy civil contractor is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for a large multiyear highway program in the Lakeland and Polk County area. This is a strong next step for a Project Engineer ready to move up, or an APM who wants a big job with a long runway and a stable employer. You'll work alongside the project manager on planning, subcontracts and contract administration so the job stays on budget and on schedule, much of it state highway work. Central Florida locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.

What You'll Be Responsible For
