Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction science and/or construction management.
• 5+ years of heavy highway experience; 2+ years of progressive project management experience preferred.
• Self-starter who works well independently.
• Field-based project execution experience.
• Strong communication skills both oral and written.
• Safety Trained Supervisor Construction Certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management to develop and adjust project plans, staffing, equipment, and timelines.
• Review and approve invoices, subcontractor payments, and cost reports; identify variances and potential claims.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of project records (daily reports, logs, photos, meeting minutes).
• Manage the project budget, monitor cost performance, and ensure documentation of change orders and claims.
• Mentor project engineers, interns, and enforce company policies.
• Negotiate and oversee subcontractors and vendors; ensure timely payments and dispute resolution.
• Represent the company professionally and maintain relationships; negotiate with integrity.
• Enforce safety standards across all project activities.
• Travel regionally as required.
