Hays is working with a growing and respected civil general contractor in New York City who is in need of an Assistant Project Manager. This company works on large design build projects for the NYCDDC, NYCDEP, and other public agencie9s. They offer competitive benefits and salary with a culture with almost no turnover. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion.
• Ensure projects adhere to design specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor project progress.
• Assist and take ownership of RFI's, Change Orders and other PM admin duties.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Resolve technical issues and provide innovative solutions.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or project engineering.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment.
• Experience of working on NYCDEP or similar public agencies.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
• Base Salary between $115k - $130k
