Job summary

RealREPP is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support DOD construction initiatives in Daphne, AL. The role requires prior experience representing the general contractor as a Project Engineer or APM on commercial or federal projects.

You will coordinate with superintendents, QC, and subcontractors, manage RFIs and submittals, and assist with procurement, change orders, and project closeout. A bachelor's degree in CM/Engineering is required, along with knowledge of AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in commercial or federal construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Familiarity with basic AutoCAD functionality.
• Experience with RFIs and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Superintendents and QC to drive three week look-aheads.
• Monitor work progress and compliance of subcontractors.
• Assist with material procurement and vendor quotes.
• Assist with purchase orders and tracking long-lead items.
• Use Bluebeam for plan review, markups, as-builts and coordination.
• Identify and escalate issues impacting budget and timeline.
• Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, and other project logs.
• Assist with change documentation, meeting actions, O&M manuals, warranties and closeout.

Job description

The selected Assistant Project Manager will be a key addition to the team supporting DOD construction projects. Prior experience representing the GC as a Project Engineer or APM on commercial or federal construction projects is required for serious consideration.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating closely with Superintendents and QC personnel to help drive three week look-aheads
• Monitoring work progress and compliance from all selected subcontractors
• Assisting with material procurement and vendor quotes
• Assisting with purchase orders and tracking long-lead items
• Utilizing Bluebeam for plan review, markups, as-builts and coordination
• Proactively identifying and escalating issues that could impact the established project budget and timeline
• Preparing and tracking RFIs, submittals, and other project logs
• Assisting with change documentation, meeting action items, O&M manuals, warranties and project closeout

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in commercial or federal construction
• Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline from an accredited institution
• Familiarity with basic AutoCAD functionality
• Prior experience with RFIs and change orders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize competing deadlines to ensure that project milestones are achieved
