Job summary

Feyen Zylstra in Charlotte, NC seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support Project and Account Managers, improve project financial position, mitigate risk, and drive project success.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, Field Operations, Purchasing, and Leadership, travel regionally as needed, and help deliver high-quality electrical and low voltage projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or 2+ years of electrical construction management experience.
• Electrical experience is a strong plus and direct customer interaction experience is preferred.
• Experience with project values around $750,000 or more and regional travel flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Account Managers to improve project financials and mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Field Ops, Purchasing and Leadership to drive successful projects.
• Support data tracking, dashboards, and reporting to monitor progress and results.
• Travel regionally to project sites as needed and communicate effectively with customers.

FZ is looking for an Assistant Project Manager for the Charlotte, NC office. This role is responsible for helping Project Managers and Account Managers with activities that improve financial position, mitigate risk, and support the overall direction of projects assigned to them. This role collaborates heavily with Project Managers, Account Manager, Field Operations, Purchasing, and Leadership to contribute to successful FZ projects.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management OR 2+ years of experience in electrical construction management and installation. Electrical experience is a strong plus.
• Experience with projects valued at or above $750,000.
• Prior experience working directly with customers.
• Knowledge of Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel and SharePoint.
• Strong planning, organizing, delegation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Skilled at leading teams (formally or informally) and influencing others, including conflict management skills.
• Ability to travel regionally to project sites as needed.
