Job summary

Hooper is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to assist in planning and executing project contracts while meeting cost, quality, equipment conservation and safety objectives. The role includes assisting with estimates, procurement, scheduling, manpower coordination, and contract administration with both office and field responsibilities.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related business field is preferred.
• Related construction industry experience or internship is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated leadership.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required; Primavera P6 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project estimates, procure materials, issue subcontracts, and attend pre-bid and progress meetings.
• Assist with planning and coordination of manpower, equipment, tools and supply needs; coordinate with union hiring hall when appropriate.
• Help establish objectives, costs, timelines, budgets, policies and safety standards; monitor through site visits and reports.
• Monitor and safeguard equipment, tools, and supplies; support administrative contract tasks with staff.
• Assist in releasing completed projects to client satisfaction and resolve closeout items.
• File and archive plans, specifications and communications for permanent records.
• Perform additional assignments as requested by management.
