Job summary

Martin Concrete Construction in Dallas, TX is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Critical Projects Group. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Three or more years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer on large commercial concrete projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and concrete scopes of work.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients, subcontractors, and teams.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning, scheduling, and logistics with Project Managers and leadership.
• Coordinate onsite execution with field teams, clients, subcontractors, and project leadership.
• Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, specs, and contracts.
• Track daily field production, weather logs, and production reports; manage material tracking.
• Coordinate material procurement and communicate with vendors for timely deliveries.
• Review invoices, verify pay applications, and assist with cost coding.
• Lead weekly project meetings and maintain cross-team communication.
• Support quality control, punch-list, and closeout activities.
• Assist with maintaining schedules and identifying risks before they impact performance.
