Job summary

Ajax Building Company, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the planning and execution of complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

You will work with experienced PMs and field leaders, driving day‑to‑day operations, coordinating teams, managing documentation, and supporting cost and schedule controls to build a foundation for a future Project Manager role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction management as Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager.
• Experience supporting project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and meetings.
• Strong communication and coordination with field teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Distribute drawings, specs, and revisions to project team from current documents.
• Assist in managing RFI and submittal processes with design team and field.
• Maintain project logs and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items.
• Support day‑to‑day project operations and coordinate with field leadership and vendors.
• Assist with basic estimating, take‑offs, and obtaining subcontractor quotes.
