Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and driven professional to take on a dynamic role split evenly between construction management and quality assurance for roofing, pavement, and building envelope projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while maintaining safety and compliance. Travel is anticipated to be 80% of the time.

General Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of a facilities engineering project to ensure that it is safely completed on time and within scope and budget. Responsible for completing the project as per its contracted scope; monitor progress and performance against the project plan. Troubleshoot and recommend or resolve operational problems and minimize delays. May be responsible for resource management, project scheduling, budgets and forecasts, and working with external vendors, subcontractors or contractors. Conducts meetings and prepares reports to communicate the status of the project to project team and client. Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones. May have responsibilities to communicate with the client and deliver work products to satisfaction of client. Coordinates effort with APR to make sure that APR has opportunity to engage throughout the project, particularly at critical junctures. Is involved with approving invoices, preparing change orders, and collections.

Essential responsibilities: Construction Management
  • Plan, coordinate, budget, and supervise construction projects on-site from start to finish.
  • Identify and resolve project-related risks, issues, or delays.
  • Review project plans and specifications to determine scheduling, budgeting, and resource needs.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and report on performance to management team and Client. Prepare and present project status reports and documentation. Track construction production quantities
  • Develop a site-specific safety plan. Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance. Promote Terracon's Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture and maintain rigid safety standards set forth for each project.
  • Manage, coordinate, and supervise subcontractors and construction activities to complete the project on schedule, with quality conformance to project plans/specifications, and within budget.
  • Assist management team in preparing and maintaining construction schedule and identifying and solving problems that may impede schedule/quality/cost.
  • Generate and oversee construction documentation, including daily field forms, daily safety forms, collection of safety data sheets (SDS), as-builts, and punch lists.
Essential responsibilities: On-Site Quality Assurance
  • Verify the construction activity is in accordance with plans and specifications.
  • Verify materials being installed onsite are approved in the submittal log.
  • Coordinate communication between the subcontractor(s) and project team.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field and a minimum of 3 years' related experience.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
