Job summary

Uprite Construction seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support the execution of ground up commercial and industrial projects across Southern California. You will work with Project Managers and field teams to coordinate documentation, scheduling, procurement, and communication from preconstruction through closeout.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of GC experience, tilt-up exposure preferred, and strong skills in construction drawings, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of experience with a general contractor as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar role.
  • Experience supporting ground up commercial construction projects.
  • Industrial construction experience including warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or similar facilities is preferred.
  • Tilt up construction experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project correspondence.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers with the day to day management of commercial and industrial construction projects.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate material procurement and track long lead items to support project schedules.
  • Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and monthly reporting.
  • Review construction drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Participate in owner, architect, subcontractor, and internal project meetings.
  • Support project buyout and subcontract administration.
  • Coordinate with Superintendents to help resolve field issues and maintain project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate project files and documentation using construction management software.
  • Assist with project closeout including punch lists, warranties, and turnover documentation.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams.

Uprite Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of ground up commercial and industrial construction projects throughout Southern California. This individual will work closely with Project Managers and field teams to coordinate project documentation, scheduling, procurement, subcontractors, and project communication from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate has previous experience working for a general contractor and is eager to grow within a collaborative, fast paced environment. Experience with industrial and tilt up construction is highly preferred.

What You'll Do:
