Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation, a leader in heavy civil construction, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to oversee projects with emphasis on safety, budget, and schedule. This role interfaces closely with clients, subs, and suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery.

Ideal candidates have a B.S. in Civil Engineering and at least five years of civil construction experience, with strong budgeting, scheduling, and quality-control skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or construction-related field.
• Minimum 5 years of civil construction experience.
• Experience in budget management, scheduling, and quality control.
• OSHA 10 Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total construction effort to ensure safety, design conformance, budget, and schedule.
• Interface with client representatives, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain project schedule with Project Engineer and Superintendent.
• Prepare submittals, letters, and coordination documents.
• Sign off on budget and manage project costs; submit cost revisions and change logs.
• Coordinate field activities to meet milestones and ensure job continuity.
• Lead weekly meetings and share progress with Owner/Architect/Engineer.
