Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for its Building Group in Chicago, IL. You will plan projects, schedule tasks, and coordinate activities with stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery.

You will oversee safety and quality, forecast budgets, handle change orders, supervise subcontractors and project engineers, and resolve issues impacting labor, materials, or contracts. This role offers growth within a family-owned firm with large backing.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of construction experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to establish relationships and lead people.
• Specific roles may require relocation.

Responsibilities

• Project planning, scheduling and coordination.
• Safety and quality control management.
• Accurate forecasting and management of budgets.
• Change order management.
• Managing critical subcontractors.
• Manage Project Engineers.
• Resolution of problems involving labor disputes, material delivery and contract administration.
