Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Wichita, Kansas to support internal PM/CM teams and external clients. You’ll help develop, document, and implement standardized project management processes across planning, design, procurement, construction, and controls.

You’ll work with engineering, design, and construction professionals to ensure cost and schedule discipline, configuring processes in integrated PM systems and developing training materials for consistent execution.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience implementing processes across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven experience with project management systems (Primavera Unifier, P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, SharePoint).
  • Experience managing costs across large, multiple-project programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with executive and client teams.

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager in the Wichita, Kansas area to support our internal PM/CM teams and external clients.

As a key contributor to our program support team, you will partner with engineering, design, and construction professionals to gain a holistic understanding of project delivery—from planning and design through procurement, construction, and project controls. In this role, you will help develop, document, and implement standardized project management and project controls processes; configure those processes within integrated project management systems; and develop training materials that enable consistent and successful project execution. You will play an active role in applying project management and project controls best practices to support effective cost and schedule management across programs.

Must be willing to be onsite daily.
Eligibility and Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the construction industry
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing processes across multidisciplinary teams
  • Proven experience working with project management systems, i.e., Primavera Unifier and P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, SharePoint etc.
  • Experience managing costs across large, multiple-project programs
  • Experience developing program and project reports including project status reporting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with executive and client teams
  • Experience developing and applying change management processes
Optional / Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new project management systems
  • Experience developing and managing resource-loaded schedules in MS Project and Primavera P6
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and applications
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations (visual, written, and verbal)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to adapt to evolving project requirements in a fast‑paced environment

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $73,500.00 to $115,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
