Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western seeks an Assistant Project Manager for our Transportation Division in Virginia Beach, VA. You will help plan, schedule, and coordinate projects, support safety and quality controls, and work with engineers and subcontractors to deliver on-time performance.

The role favors candidates with 4+ years in construction, a bachelor's degree (preferred), and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in construction or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for the role.
• Previous construction experience is preferred.
• Ability to establish relationships and lead people.

Responsibilities

• Project planning, scheduling and coordination.
• Safety and quality control management.
• Accurate forecasting and management of budgets.
• Change order management.
• Managing critical subcontractors.
• Manage Project Engineers.
• Resolution of problems involving labor disputes, material delivery and contract administration.
• Maintain vehicle, equipment, and tools management.
