Convergint is seeking a full-time Assistant Project Manager in Tulsa, OK to join our collaborative, growth-focused culture and help drive successful project delivery.

As part of a dynamic team, you will support planning, scheduling, budgeting, and customer interface to ensure on-time, on-budget results. This role requires 3–5 years related experience and a strong aptitude for building automation, fire/life safety and healthcare projects.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years engineering, field service or project management experience.
• Experience in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation, or healthcare domains.
• Strong leadership, mentorship and collaboration abilities.
• Proficient with MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, organizing and directing projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on budget and on schedule.
• Maintain positive cash flow and provide accurate project cost reports.
• Interface with customers to maximize satisfaction and manage risks.
• Identify risks and support mitigation of cost and deadline deviations.

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, organizing and directing, and application engineering for assigned projects.
• Ensures projects are effectively executed to budgeted cost and time schedules.
• Ensures positive cash flow on all assigned projects.
• Acts as key interface with the customer and maximizes customer satisfaction.
• Identifies potential project risks and assists to develop/implement strategies to minimize impact and develop and implement strategies for controlling deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
• Utilizes financial systems to review actual vs. estimated job cost and to provide timely and accurate project cost reports.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

What You’ll Need

• Basic project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems).
• Developing project financial skills.
• Leadership Orientation-Actively seeks ways in which to act as a role model, guide, develop and mentor others within the organization.
• Strong Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience: (but not required):

• 3-5 years engineering, field service or project management
• Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation, and/or healthcare
