Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group seeks an Assistant Project Manager to join our Sterling, VA HQ team. The role focuses on coordinating mechanical projects, supporting project managers, and ensuring on-time delivery across builds in the DMV area.

The ideal candidate has 2 years in a project coordination or construction admin role, familiarity with HVAC trades, strong communication, and basic MS Word/Excel skills. Travel to job sites up to 30-40% is required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in project coordination or construction administrative role.
• Familiar with methods, equipment, and tools used in the HVAC service and installation trade.
• Must have at least a high school degree, or G.E.D.
• Must have superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Familiarity with mechanical drawings and commercial construction projects.
• Basic proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel. Experience with industry software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Revue, Revit, AutoCad is a plus.
• Able to understand and manage job deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site travel scheduling and coordination (up to 30-40%).

What We're Looking For

Requirements For This Role Include

Location & Travel
