Job summary

Martin-Harris Construction LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to lead project activities, develop CPM schedules, and manage budgets on commercial builds in the Las Vegas area.

Candidates should have five years of experience, familiarity with Procore, Timberline, Word, Excel, and P-6 scheduling; Prolog or Expedition acceptable. Onsite work at active construction sites may be required, with a team-focused, reliable mindset.

Qualifications

  • Five years of experience as a commercial Project Engineer.
  • Experience with Procore, Timberline, Word, Excel and P-6 scheduling is preferred; Prolog or Expedition acceptable.
  • Willing to learn MHC procedures and be a member of the overall team.
  • Willing to work as a team member to assist the team in critical deadlines and tasks.
  • Dedicated and cares about the work they are doing.
  • Self-starter who is well organized and reliable.
  • May be required to work onsite of an active construction project.

Responsibilities

  • Manages, plans, and directs all activities related to the project and provides direction and support to the project team
  • Develops CPM schedule and ensures that all project goals are executed according to the design documents and as per the construction schedule
  • Manages the project budgets including any MHC self-performed work
  • De-scopes all subcontractors and authors thorough and complete subcontract agreements
  • Communicates regularly with subcontractors to ensure prompt performance and accurate COR submittals
  • Develops and submits Owner billings
  • Ensures timely and accurate submission and execution of all owner change orders and schedule updates
  • Negotiates and communicates with Owners and Public entities
  • Implements and enforces MHC policies and procedures to perform the functions of the job
  • Implements and manages quality assurance procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Willing to learn MHC procedures and be a member of the overall MHC team
  • Willing to work as a team member to assist the team in critical deadlines and tasks
  • Dedicated and cares about the work they are doing
  • Self-starter who is well organized and reliable
  • May be required to work onsite of an active construction project that entails a job trailer setting and typical noises from an active construction project
