Job summary

PC Construction Company in Central Florida is seeking a candidate to join its team on newly awarded large CMAR water/wastewater construction contracts. The role requires an engineering degree and a minimum of five years' experience in wastewater treatment plant projects, and entails directing, completing, and financially managing projects and related administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and distribute bid packages.
• Contact vendors and suppliers for pricing information.
• Obtain scopes and quotations from subcontractors and vendors.
• Perform scope and price reviews to ensure coverage of work.
• Review subcontractor and vendor quotes regarding scope, pricing, and schedule.
• Analyze and negotiate subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
• Prepare subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, and other commitments in CMiC.
• Prepare agenda, take notes, and disseminate meeting minutes.
• Read and review the project's owner's contract.
• Review design drawings and specs to identify issues.
• Generate and process RFIs.
• Prepare change orders to the owner's contract in CMiC.
• Develop and maintain contract document logs.
• Manage bid package addenda.
• Update and distribute project documents and logs.
• Generate a submittal log at project onset.
• Review submittals for compliance and compatibility.
• Expedite submittals to avoid delays.
• Perform project management duties to avoid delaying field activities.
• Keep progress up-to-date in the project schedule.
• Modify the schedule as required by changes to the contract.
• Verify material deliveries for contract compliance.
• Prepare and submit budget changes; assign costs to job cost structures.

The right candidate will have adegree in engineering, along with a minimum of five years' experience for the construction of wastewater treatment plant projects responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a construction project and/or the administrative activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and distribute bid packages.
• Contact appropriate vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing information.
• Obtain scopes of work and quotations from subcontractors and vendors.

• Review subcontractor and vendor quotes regarding scope, pricing, and schedule.

• Prepare subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, and other commitments in CMiC.
• Prepare agenda, take notes, and disseminate subcontractor coordination meeting minutes.

• Review design drawings and specifications to identify potential issues.
• Generate and process RFIs.
• Prepare change orders to the owner's contract in CMiC.
• Develop and maintain the contract document logs (design drawings, specifications, ASI, etc.).
