Convergint is seeking a full-time Assistant Project Manager to join our culture and grow with us. You will be part of a dynamic team that supports the Project Manager on planning, scheduling, and directing assigned projects.

You will help ensure projects stay on budget and on schedule while maximizing customer satisfaction through effective interface with clients. A background in engineering or PM with strong MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills is preferred.

Formación

• 3–5 years in engineering, field service or project management.
• Experience in building automation, electronic security, life safety, or healthcare.
• Previous supervisory experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, organizing and directing project engineering.
• Ensure projects meet budget and time schedules.
• Maintain positive cash flow on assigned projects.
• Interface with customers to maximize satisfaction.
• Identify risks and implement cost/deviation controls.
• Use financial systems to review actual vs estimated costs and report.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, organizing and directing, and application engineering for assigned projects.
• Ensures projects are effectively executed to budgeted cost and time schedules.
• Ensures positive cash flow on all assigned projects.
• Acts as key interface with the customer and maximizes customer satisfaction.
• Identifies potential project risks and assists to develop/implement strategies to minimize impact and develop and implement strategies for controlling deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
• Utilizes financial systems to review actual vs. estimated job cost and to provide timely and accurate project cost reports.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

What You'll Need

• Basic project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems).
• Developing project financial skills.
• Leadership Orientation-Actively seeks ways in which to act as a role model, guide, develop and mentor others within the organization.
• Strong Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.

Requirements:

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience: (but not required):

• 3-5 years engineering, field service or project management
• Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation, and/or healthcare
• Previous supervisory

The anticipated compensation of this position is $78,500 - $95,000 annual salary.

Please note that this job posting includes salary information for the assigned target market range within the primary geographic region the requisition is posted. If the position is posted in multiple locations or is a remote position, the salary range may vary. Individual pay rates will, of course, vary depending on the job, department, and location, as well as the individual skills, experience, certifications, specific licenses, and education of the applicant.
