Job summary

Reconstruction Experts in Marina del Rey, CA is seeking a Contract Manager to oversee contract management from bid through closeout, coordinate with project teams, and ensure compliance with OSHA, building codes, and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance, managing changes, and coordinating with subcontractors while maintaining accurate contract records. Requires 3–7 years in similar roles and a bachelor’s in a related field.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in construction contract administration, project management, or similar roles.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including AIA, FIDIC, and other standard forms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and contracts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in construction/project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or similar).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.

  • Ensure all insurance and bonding requirements are met and documented.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related matters.
  • Provide regular updates to internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Facilitate meetings to review contract status, progress, and changes.
  • Prepare reports on contract performance, status, and financial metrics.
  • Analyze outcomes to identify improvements for future projects.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management

  • Manage contracts from bid and negotiation through project closeout
  • Monitor contract performance to ensure all parties meet their obligations

  • Review and approve payment applications in alignment with contract terms and project progress
  • Monitor budgets and costs, identifying potential variances or overruns
  • Partner with finance teams to ensure timely payments and resolve billing issues

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related matters
