Job summary

Allegiance Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Asheville team. You will support project managers and superintendents across complex commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout, with growth toward a Project Manager role.

The role emphasizes collaboration, accurate documentation in Procore, and coordination among owners, architects, engineers, and field teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in commercial construction (as an APM, project engineer or similar)
• Experience on healthcare, K-12 or higher education projects is a strong plus
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field preferred
• Good organisation and communication skills
• Familiarity with Procore, MS Project or similar construction software
• A team player with a strong work ethic who wants to grow

Responsibilities

• Support PMs with day-to-day project administration, including RFIs, submittals, change orders and meeting minutes
• Help manage subcontractor scopes, buyout and procurement
• Track budgets, cost reports and schedules
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers and field teams
• Keep project documentation in Procore
• Support quality control, safety initiatives and closeout documents

About the company

The role

We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our Asheville team. You'll work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to deliver commercial projects from preconstruction to closeout. It's a good opportunity for someone who wants to grow toward a Project Manager role.
