Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking a seasoned Project Manager for a heavy civil highway construction role, coordinating with foremen, superintendents, and subcontractors to keep the project on schedule and aligned with safety objectives.

Qualified candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, with 10 years of heavy civil experience; design-build exposure is preferred and MS Office proficiency is required. Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management or related field required or industry experience of equivalent level.
• 10 years of Heavy Civil construction experience required.
• Design-build construction project experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• 5 years Highway construction project experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Foremen and Superintendents to ensure work plans are tracked and analyzed to maximize efficiency and safety.
• Ensure quality objectives are being met for the project.
• May supervise the work of other project resources and provide mentoring and coaching.
• Prepare field material take-offs.
• Initiate and prepare requisitions for the procurement of services, materials, and equipment necessary to support the project schedule.
• Schedule and coordinate the release of construction design documents in support of the construction schedule.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and project team to ensure quality control and safety programs are being followed.
• Additional responsibilities requested by Project Management team.
