Job summary

Life’s WORC is seeking a dedicated caregiver supervisor to oversee residential staff and ensure quality of life for people with developmental disabilities in New York. The role requires 40 hours weekly, Tue-Sat 12pm-8pm, with flexibility as needed, and driving an agency vehicle.

The position offers a competitive pay of $24.50 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package, including health/dental insurance, a 403(b) match, generous PTO, and tuition reimbursement. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year’s experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
• Six months’ supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment road test and drive an agency vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing protective oversight to people living in the residence.
• 24/7 On-Call accessibility.
• Assist with scheduling, personnel-related issues, training of residential staff and other delegated tasks.
• Provide on-going supervision of residential staff.
• Provide assistance and instruction for each person in basic activities of daily living.
• Provide training and support for each person in accordance with the person’s program plan.
• Participate in the selection and evaluation of staff.
• Complete AMAP course and annual recertification.
• General lifting is required (laundry, groceries).
• Drive agency vehicles; safe driving practices; driver safety course.
• Keep NYS Vehicle Inspection and vehicle maintenance up to date.
• Conduct road tests with prospective/current employees on agency vehicles.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment including weekly walk-throughs with Residence Manager.
• Adhere to agency quality standards and make decisions with/without Residence Manager.
• Become skilled with agency software (Medisked, Outlook, UltiPro).
• Adhere to agency policies (Cash Policy, Medisked Attestation).
• Assist people supported in planning, coordinating and attending community integration/inclusion activities.

• Responsible for NYS Vehicle Inspection and all routine maintenance of agency vehicles
• Conduct road tests with prospective and current employees on agency’s vehicle in accordance with Life’s WORC road test procedures.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment including a weekly walk-throughs with Residence Manager
• Ensure for adherence to agency quality standards of operation; make decisions in conjunction with and in the absence of the Residence Manager that drive operational processes
• Become skilled with agency software (ie: Medisked, Outlook, Ultipro etc.)
• Responsible for adhering to agency policies (Cash Policy, Medisked Attestation etc.)
• Assist people supported in planning, coordinating and attending community integration/inclusion activities within their homes and community
• This shift is 40 hours per week. Flexibility Needed.
